A new location to serve more children and families.

The Westchester school offers enriching outdoor classrooms and 8 indoor classrooms to best support the individual developmental paces of young children from 20 months – 6 years of age.

A Day At School

Arrival & Morning Snack (8am)

Sign in between 8-9am and enjoy activity outdoors with breakfast.

Morning Group (10am)

Welcome friends and share blessings & topics of the day. Learn Language Arts and Math concepts.

Transition to learning centers

 

Learning Centers (10:30am)

Learn and practice letter activities, rhyme, vocabulary development, book baskets, letter search, literacy development, sorting and patterns, math concepts, blocks, puzzles, cooking, science, and dramatic play.

Weekly Enrichment (11am)

Engage in hands-on experiences and projects in subjects that cultivate the multiple intelligences, such as Music & Movement, Creative Arts, Science, Engineering, Show and Tell, and more.

 

Safety, Health, and Emergency Practices

Practice well-grounded safety and health concepts.

 

International Languages (1pm)

Learn foreign languages and cultures: French, Korean, Spanish

 

Story Time with Parents (2:20pm)

End the day at school with a fun story read by moms/dads

 

Chapel Time (11:30am)

On Wednesdays, little worshippers sing and listen to a Bible story. Virtues Introduced: Trust, Love, Self-control, Peace, Obedience, Faithfulness, Honesty, Respect, Kindness, Patience, Gentleness, Joy.

 

Outdoor Learning

Engage in play and activities that promote health and growth in all developmental domains: sense of self, independence, self-discipline, confidence, creativity, imagination, problem-solving, social skills, and large and small motor skills

Lunch Break (11:45am)

Bring your own lunch and have fellowship everyday.

Proven and Successful Approaches to Child Education

At Growing Years Children’s Academy, we use two research based assessment tools as part of our teaching methodology: CLASS and ECERS.
